Why is there N95 mask shortage for medical workers?

Ask any nurse or doctor or anyone who knows the truth about masks; nobody needs them because they do not protect against much of anything. The N95 and any mask like it only protects from things getting out of the person who is wearing it. They provide little to no protection from things getting IN. 

People are idiots. And all of those idiots went out and panic bought all kinds of things they really don't need that aren't doing anything toward any kind of protection or survival. 

The virus is going to continue spreading. There is no stopping it. Viruses spread. That's what they do! Face the truth. 

Dressing for Halloween does the same exact thing masks and gloves are doing for everyone who's wearing them right now; not much of anything. You're a fool if you think they are helping substantially. Of course they are helping but they are not doing anywhere even as close to as much as the stupid people who are wearing them think. They are definitely not guaranteed 100% protection, not even close!!!

The public bought all of them a few weeks ago.

There were thousands of new patients. The demand grew quickly. 

Use has increased, and a lot of hospital supplies were stolen by employees early on, too.
