Millions of Americans have lost their jobs already. Something like 50% of working Americans under 40 have been laid off, fired, or had hours cut. The $2 trillion 'bailout' gives workers $1200, which might last them 2 months at best, and then we're going to be in huge trouble in the US. Trump keeps insisting we're going to open everything back up in May, and the argument is about that, NOT about what's gong to happen when the economy DOESN'T open up in May.
Even Dr Fauci says that this is a bigger, longer problem than we realize. We're heading for another Great Depression, with terrible levels of unemployment, homelessness, healthcare, education, infrastructure, perhaps crime, perhaps alcoholism and addiction, and we can only think as far ahead as the election in November.
The powers that be in the US will not cede their power without a fight! I'm not talking here about the Democrats OR the Republicans, I'm talking about the REAL powers that sponsor both our political parties. So there's going to be a big fight! We're going to see some very bizarre times in the US in the next couple of decades (and THEN Global Warming will hit us harder than people seem to think). Trump's legacy will last long after he's dead.
