Protecting assets in a divorce UK?

I was wondering if it is possible to protect assets in a divorce but am not sure if UK courts accept prenuptial agreements as the US does.

I dont mind giving the wife part of my savings/funding her for atleast a year and if we have children, provide her with 70-100% of childcare costs (providing im free to see the kids or the kids could still live in the house, preferably) if she has no job then i'd help in funding (or co-funding) any courses she needs till she lands a job/income though m the kind of person that would encourage her during the marriage (ofc considering kids we need to look at the hours/support/maternity leave etc we can do). - All this could be included in the prenuptial agreement.

Is it more complex? As I wouldnt want to lose half the house. I can keep her in for a year while shes working without her paying me rent so shes able to save for a life outside me home.

Don't get married if this is how you think......... prenupual agreements are not legally recognised in the UK............. and the 'normal' if you had kids and she has physical custody, is until the youngest child is 18, she would get the family home, it then be sold and profits split.

Yes divorce is much more comlex than you realise............. and coming to an agreement between you two BEFORE either of you see a solicitor will save thousands...... the ONLY financal winners in any divorce is the courts, barristers and solicitors
