first trip by both 50 kg, one crosses to other end & one 50 kg returned back and hold on the initial side.
second trip one 100 cross the end, 50 kg returned with boat.
third trip both 50 kg again cross the river, one hold on the other bank and one returned to the initial end.
fourth trip second 100 cross the river, 50 kg returned in boat.
fifth trip both 50 kg cross the river.

They attach a rope to the boat so they can pull it back after unloading its passenger(s).

You didn't say they don't have a rope, so this is a perfectly valid answer.

B=brother, S=sister, M=Mom, D=Dad, Bt=boat

BS>Bt>cross, B out, S crossback. S.out, M>Bt, cross. B>Bt, cross back. SB>Bt cross. B>out, S crossback. S out D>Bt cross. D out B>Bt Crossback, SB>Bt cross, BS out. done!
