The Mark of the Beast means "Roman ways".  

It specifically mean the way Roman society operated 2000 years ago.

Revelation was telling the Christians back then to avoid the ways of Roman society.

The Beast was the Roman emperor.

So, will the Roman Emperor be named Herman?  And, when will that occur?

The Mark of the Beast is whichever new technology is scaring people this year. For a while it was bar codes, before that it was credit cards, and before that it was Social Security numbers. In ten years it will be something else.

Could be. Alot of people are pointing at Bill Gates vaccine-verification chip as the MOTB, but I don't think it is although it is clearly a step in that direction and should be a wake-up call to everyone that powerful people are looking to make something very MOTB-ish, and will eventually succeed.

This world is wicked per the standards set forth by the Bible and what we are seeing is all the sorts of things that happen when the world gets REALLY bad...plagues, storms, economic collapses, etc. And now you've got Bill Gates pushing a MOTB prototype. It's like come on, WAKE UP, the Bible is real, God is real, and He is trying to get our attention.

It's whatever new tech comes about that fundie morons become scared of.

Man without God is but a beast.

It is not hard to see that mark... except perhaps for those with it.

That will be part of it. The "chip" will be like the ultimate vaccine. You will be immune to sickness and disease and live a good life to about 120 years of age. Your DNA will be modified and you will no longer be Elohim, created in the image of God, so you cannot be redeemed.

The big, bad "mark of the beast" will be a one-size-fits-all
