I'm planning on financing some real estate for my daughter. The real estate folks are asking for a proof of funds letter.

Proof of where the funds to purchase are coming from...so as you are financing it, you need to prove using documents of those funds that you can afford to do that

Juse send them a current bank statement or investment account statement, that should do it.
