Should I get the sq6 camera?

Just be patient. Give it time. Eventually the great majority of people who buy the camera will be sick of it and put it up for sale on Ebay. You will be able to get one for a third of the new price, or even less.

You know it's crappy and yet you still like it. Buy it. You know you'll sleep better if you already have it.

Your suspicions are correct.  The SQ6 is about $90 USD.  For just $5 you can get a used Polaroid off of eBay with basically the same image quality and size.  Plus for only $5 you'll look much more retro while having more money in your pocket.

Just keep in mind that most instant-film users eventually tire of the novelty that is instant-film cameras.  Plus the cost of the film is astronomical especially when one considers the poor image quality.

As an alternative, when at home you can always print your photos that you take with a digital camera or even your phone.  Prints via your inkjet printer don't take too long, so you'll soon be able to share images with your guests.

Yeah $89 is a lot of money to pay for one of those cameras you should be able to get one for around 25 or 30 that does the same thing
