What are you doing living like a dependent child at that age?

Get a job, rent a furnished room or studio apartment, buy and prepare your own food, pay your own bills, and act like a responsible adult, and perhaps they'll treat you like one.

Do you still live home with your parents...you have to take control of your life and they will not judge you.  They will see you are responsible.  Living at home with them only leads to a lot of judgement.

At 26, you move out and live your own life, dear. Unfortunately, even in homes of friends and other family, you must abide by their rules ..some are more strict than others, but still their rules. Other than that, present some rules to your parents that you feel are extreme and ask them if you can modify them a bit and explain why.

No matter how old you are, parents will be parents forever, because they love you and care about what happens to you. Still you are an adult, and it’s understandable the need and want of independence. Talk to you parents about it and show them that you are a responsible adult by how you act and the decisions you make. communication is key, not just what is said, but how it’s said and when. For tips on how to talk to your parents and gain more freedom, see the following link and click the subject topic “Family”, it answers questions like: Why Won’t My Parents Let Me Have Any Fun? Then get a job and move out to your own apartment where you don't have to listen to your parents' rules.  You are an adult now, they should not be treating you like a child and you having to sneak out.

You are still living with Mommy? That is your problem. If you can't afford to live on your own because of lack of work and rental costs, then look at how you may be able to section off a room or level with your own entrance(like sometimes parents do for grandparents)  They are kind of independent and pay to rent the space as a tenant would.  You would have more "flexibility" with the rent in most cases. But you pay your share of the utilities, knowing you do not have to pay for house taxes every year.  Make it a legal suite(which then allows for a second kitchen that is safe to use)and not burn the house down. (Schitt happens.)

Moving out would be the best way at your age.

You are a (responsible) adult.
Take responsibility; get involved in some local club, society or church.   Maybe do some voluntary work.   It will all get you out, and broaden your horizons
