I'll second All Systems Red as well as The Sparrow.  Both are good.  I recently read and enjoyed Old Bones by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, and Mycroft and Sherlock by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.  FantasticLand by Mike Bockoven is also decent.   I enjoyed it, but it wasn't awesome.

Two of my very favorites:

"PERSUASION" by Jane Austen.  I first read it when I was 19.  I've reread it a couple dozen times over the 40 years since then, and I still find new things in it 😏  As anyone who loves to read could tell you, that's the sign of a true classic.

"TO SERVE THEM ALL MY DAYS" by R.F. Delderfield.  Many years ago, this novel was the basis for a Masterpiece Theatre series that I adored, and I read the original book after that.  It's been one of my all-time favorites ever since 🙂
