Is my copy of Toy Story on VHS the original version of the film from 1995 ?

The original Toy Story film (the official version) was released on VHS in October 1996 but which version was mine ? The movie trailers shown on the Toy Story tape before the movie starts are from movies that came out a few months after it was released in theaters such as Tom and Huck, Muppet Treasure Island and James and The Giant Peach. Was this an earlier version of the tape ? Because none of those movies were shown in the 96 version.

Retail VHS tapes of movies were put on sale some months after the movie is released in cinemas.The time varies, but it was typically six months or so after the cinema release. They may have trailers for movies through that time or upcoming ones.
Rental copies came out rather sooner after the cinema release, so you could easily have seen the same movie in two different versions.
