What are these yellow specs in my trucks paint?

I have a 2015 gmc 3500 and, every time I wash it I notice all of these yellow specks in the paint that look a lot like rust bleeding through the paint. I cant believe that it is anything like that since the truck isnt that old. I can wash them off but u have to scrub the crap out of them with a sponge. Any idea what causes this? I shouldn't have bought a white truck.

You're right, it is rust bleeding through because there are imperfections in the paint.

If you park it near a tree it is probably sap or insect poop.

The truck isn't old, but it's a GM product so this is par for the course. Better luck next time.

If that particular body panel was replaced with a cold rolled steel panel, and not a factory or OEM galvanized steel panel, then you are susceptible to corrosion. For that reason, a lot of people don't spend money on an old vehicle if it is rusted in one or more places. Some of the primed replacement panels are just "OK" but will not last as long as OEM galvanized steel panels. Careful preparation of the replacement panel can prolong it's life expectancy, but the body shops are not interested in stripping and prepping a replacement panel. Slap in on, throw some paint on it, get rid of it.

Truck is corroding.  Cheapo paint was used.  Normal for a GM product that is past its warranty.
