Car power problems?

I have a 2004 grand prix, it recently started giving me the reduced engine power notification and when it does the car loses all acceleration. Only when i stop, put it in park then back into drive does it get partial acceleration back. Ive looked into seeing if its the map sensor, sparkplugs ect. The codes i get when i scan it are p0128 p0420 p1125 and p2138. Any tips or insight on what to do would be appreciated.

P1125 and P2138, intermittent pedal position sensor and pedal position sensor and tps correlation are what is causing your "limp home" mode.

The p0128 is for coolant temperature that is below thermostat settings and p0420 is for a cat converter with low efficiency.

Replace the pedal position sensor (pray that it fixes the problem) and the thermostat and see a mechanic about the cat converter.  Or it might be time to sell the car and get the next owner to fix it.

maybe you should get a mechanic to check it out

Usually when you have too many codes that show up at the same time for one problem, the ECM is bad. No way so many sensors can go bad at the same time. So, likely your ECM needs replaced since it controls the engine in closed loop. One way to drive the car in open loop mode, the ECM doesn't control the engine, is to disconnect the temperature sensor wire. If will run in open loop and the ECM will not take control of the engine at any point. Your MPG's will drop, for sure but it will get you home and or the repair shop when you decide to spend some money on it.
