Did You Believe In Equality??

I believe in equality of opportunity, not equality of outcome.
There should be equality, of course. But right now, a lot of things do not have equality.
Since you aren't specific, I understand equality as a viable position for me to debate for.
Liberalism is a political philosophy or worldview founded on ideas of liberty and equality. Liberal philosophy generally emphasizes liberty, individualism, and support for limited constitutional government. In the United States, "liberal" generally refers specifically to social liberalism.
Liberalism first became a distinct political movement during the Age of Enlightenment, when it became popular among philosophers and economists in the Western world. Liberalism rejected the prevailing social and political norms of hereditary privilege, state religion, absolute monarchy, and the Divine Right of Kings. Leaders in the Glorious Revolution of 1688, the American Revolution of 1776, and the French Revolution of 1789 used liberal philosophy to justify the armed overthrow of royal tyranny.
I don't believe equality is possible in nature. People are born with different talents and abilities. Women do not possess the strength of men; men do not have the communication skills of women. Most men lack the athletic ability and size to play professional sports. Not all men have the intellectual capacity to become a brain surgeon. Not all men have the initiative to be successful. Hard work should be rewarded above sloth.
I believe in equality for all people under the law.
Yes I have always believed in equality in a sense that all people should have equal opportunities and rights to do what they want.. However I do not believe that all men are created equal (with all due respect to Thomas Jefferson) some people were born with greater intellect and vision while others to a lesser extent, but nonetheless we should never play favorites and we should provide equal opportunities for every person.
I believe in give and take.
i prefer separation over many things
It was once said that all people are equal but some are more equal than others.
There is "equal" and there is "equal".
Inherently equal only extends to their natural makeup but not to their station in life. Even the Bible talks about slavery as a lower class and makes distinctions between royalty and peasantry.
The basis of equality as practiced in the modern world is a Liberal concept. Political correctness makes the assumption that the world must place all people on an equal level and consequently provide them with equal benefits unconditionally.
John Lennon's song "Imagine" is about such a Utopian world that he dreamed of - but what he envisioned was Socialism.
People are what they make of themselves. If they aren't given the opportunity to be successful, it's unfortunate, but not a reason to practice equal inclusion.
There are no trophies for participating.
