What's a good adventure book to read right now?

I am reading a series of unfortunate events 

Later books by Brad Thor are well-researched scenarios:  "Code of Conduct" is one.

"In a Sunburned Country" by Bill Bryson is real life adventure vacation in Oz.

Try the novels Dangerous Days and Blades both by J.William Turner. Set mostly in Australia,the main characters are teens, but they end up in some very hazardous, life-threatening situations
