how much could I get from a louis vuitton wallet?

I received a louis vuitton wallet (my sister was able to find it at a really good price) and it turns out that it originally sells at around $800. there’s hardly any damage whatsoever, aside from the fact that the zipper handle won’t zip up some parts of the zipper. i’m not sure if i should sell it as is for find a way to fix it - problem is, I have no idea how to even fix it in the first place without replacing the zipper (which I really don’t want to attempt because I don’t trust myself)

If you are going to try and fix this, the only way it would be worth anything is if you get it repaired through Louis Vuitton. Taking a designer item to get repaired at any place other than the designer company itself basically makes the item worthless and takes away any resale value. This is because it has materials and techniques not approved by the designer.
If you want to repair it take it to the Louis Vuitton store and talk with them about repair costs.
There is a very good chance that this is a knock off item. Designer items are not sold brand new with damage and non working zippers. Taking it to a Louis Vuitton store will help you determine if it is a real item or if its a fake, and ca help you determine what your options are.
If you are going to resell this, be prepared to get only about half of what the item is valued at, max. To resale a designer item and get a decent amount of money, you have to be strategic. You need to have all of the original packaging, including the tissue paper protecting everything and the receipt of sale. The receipt will let the person who buys this from you know that it is a real item and not a fake. Louis Vuitton does not offer a certificate of authenticity, so this receipt showing that this was purchased from the actual Louis Vuitton store is vital to making any money off a second hand designer item sale. Without that it might as well be a fake.

if i was you i would keep it and fix the zipper and that would be about $20-$50
