Are  police really  concern about citizen ?

This happened to me today  I got lost Half a tank of gas  cellphonee needed charging up I call the police for help they could had guide  me back in the right direction  a truck cut me off I turn down the wrong streets  trying to find my way back  to the road I was on , when your lost that is very scary  my gps was not working so I call the police to help guide  me back in the right direction.  Instead  she told me good luck. So I call a friend and she help me.find my way home  I don't  understand why people can be  concern about others If that was this police woman Family member She woulda took out  her cell found out where he or she was at and guide  her love one home safely I never call police to help me some of them are not Concern
