Would you take this job offer? ?

I am looking at a potential job offer in NYC and am considering the positive and negatives to the job, and would like to hear some honest opinions. Here is a list of pros and cons for the job:

Pros:
1).The job is in my field. I have worked hard for my degree to start out doing jobs like this.
2). The job pays well for a starting salary within my field, which averages around $50,000. This one starts off slightly above $60,000 and has bonuses.
3). The job would expose me to a lot and I would really learn a great deal while working there.
4). The company hires from within with a TON of opportunity for upward mobility.
5). If I become a project manager, the office is only a few minutes from my house.
6). I know someone who works there and she likes it a lot. The company pays for them to go out for drinks after work some times, they go camping together, ski trips, wonderful culture.
7). Starting paying loans

Cons:
1). Far commute- potentially 1.5 to 2 hours both ways. (They pay you for gas at higher rates than gas prices to account for wear and tear).
2) Long days. Get on site at 6:30 am and leave around 3:30, sometimes later. Will have to get up at 4:45 am and would get home till after 6 am.
2). I could pay for rent in NYC, but rent is EXPENSIVE. Sites change every 3 months and could be far from my apartment- upstate far.
4) Sometimes have to work overtime (Saturdays)
5). Working predominately outside all year/ all weather.
6). I hate NY and want to live in NC

Sounds great but I couldn't do the commute.. I already drive 45 minutes each way to my job & it really makes for a long day!

$60k does compensate for the expenses of living in NY/NJ
I don't think you can pay rent in the city with that, and the commutes could be taxing on you.

More importantly, NY is a totally different ballgame from NC. If you've never been there before, it will be particularly rough. Big cities are full of sociopaths, the likes of which you will almost never encounter in NC. On the one hand you may become bitter, confused, and angry after living in NY, but on the other hand you will get some exposure to new places and gain insight. The choice is yours, but I wish I hadn't moved to my first big city, although it was slightly worse because it was in Asia.
