Sound waves can be seen(it seems) as an electromagnetic energy waves.
Waves means wave-like motion by which heat, sound, light, radio, magnetism, etc is spread or carried by wave-length esp. with reference to radio telegraphy on long/medium/short waves used in radio broad-casting(=waves)
