What happens if u get busted with weed cigarette in Illinois at 11:59pm Dec. 31, 2019?

If you get busted by a Fed, you're going to jail.  If you're busted by a local cop.... Nothing.

A joint is a gram or two at best, and Illinois is a decriminalized state for small amounts- until 12am January 1, when possession of 30 grams or less will be fully legal- so you would get a ticket for about 200 dollars. 
Why not wait a minute? 

How many grams?  That's what matters.

Probably the same thing that would happen if you got busted on Dec. 30, 2019.
