What does “this drive cycle” mean on OBD2 scanner? ?
I was seeing a used car and plugged in the obd2 scanner in the car and in the IM readiness it had the option “this drive cycle”..I was told to watch for “inc” as it means the dash warning lights have been tampered with. It showed a few “inc” and I got spooked. The other sections other than “this drive cycle” passed with “ok” or “N/A”. Is it ok for “this drive cycle” to show inc’s??

It DOES NOT mean there was any tampering.
It means the codes were reset and the vehicle hasn't been driven enough for some of the monitoring systems to stabilize.
That would actually be REQUIRED if certain repairs where made.
In short, the reading tells you NOTHING about the actual condition of the vehicle.
You should have ASKED the seller why the codes were recently reset. Depending on the answer, you can decide if further investigation is worth your time.
Incomplete on the drive cycle list means someone cleared the codes before you looked at the vehicle. It's an old salesman trick to sell a car and not have the repairs come out of their commission check from the sale. I'll bet there was a P0420 or P0430 code and the car needs a catalytic converter.

It slides out perfectly but bringing it back in it will move in
This means the codes were cleared using a scanner. Monitors should all be "ready" (and no emission codes present) to pass a smog test although some Incs are ok. Car must complete a drive cycle for the monitors to be ready. It is up to the smog station what Incs are allowed. It is best to stay away from this car.
