Verizon terminated Yahoo Messenger on July 18, 2018. We were given 3 months warning. Yahoo terminated IM in 2013. Verizon disabled personal email in August 2017. Verizon took over Yahoo's Sunnyvale CA headquarters on June 13-14, 2017.
