My dog is out of control?

I'll start by saying he's a pug so I know that generally speaking they take longer to train. But he is quite out of control. He listens only when it suits him and he still defecates in the house. It's been months. I have tried treat training, being the nice guy, being the tough guy, and they all seem to work for a time, and then it's like after a couple of days he forgets what he's learned. I know people say commit to one and stick to it which I have also done, but he still doesn't seem to get it. He also bites everything despite having plenty of hard toys and treats to chew on. He thinks biting peoples faces is playing and when he's in that mood it's almost impossible to control him. On top of this he constantly barks at my family's other dog and will listen to no one when we try to get him to stop. We're currently taking him to puppy school which is a real hit and miss situation with him, but I really don't know what else to do. Does anyone know why and how to fix these traits? Thanks.

It's training - at home, over and over again. Tether his lead to your waist. He has no respect for you, and you need to gain control of that. Start with basic obedience - sit, stay, down. Look it up on YouTube. Short training sessions, multiple times a day. Then you work on quiet. Get him good and tired by playing with him in the yard. A tired dog is a good dog. Meal feed both dogs - no bottomless food bowls. 20 minutes after eating take him out, and stay out there until he poops. Its all about training and consistency - you need to do it over and over again, each and every day.

Crate training, or tethering the dog to your waist.... should help w/ the indoor defecation. he has not been trained not to bite human skin (at all) apparently. For heaven sake, STOP putting him anywhere NEAR anybody's face, if he bites faces. Any skin being bitten may be helped by having Bitter Apple spray or cream applied (in advance). Tastes nasty to dogs, but is non-toxic.

Obedience class should be weekly; with practice everyday between classes. (it should not be a matter of 'hit & miss').

A bark collar or crating, or taking him for a very aerobic walk maybe necessary to stop the barking.
