BCAAs are useless for anyone who gets sufficient protein from their diet. Protein powder is only needed for people who can’t get enough protein from their regular diet. Most experts agree that you should be eating somewhere in the region of 0.8g of protein per lb of body weight per day to gain muscle. For example, if you weighed 150lbs, 150 X 0.8 = 120g of protein per day. If at the end of the day you’ve added up everything that you’ve eaten and seen that you’ve only eaten 100g from whole foods, you’d then have one scoop of protein protein powder (usually 20g of protein) to bring you up 120g and meet your target. If you’ve eaten 120g or more from food alone, having more protein will have no benefit. When you take it doesn’t matter. Don’t fall for marketing bs.
BCAAs before, during, or immediately post workout. Protein...kinda same story. Most people drink protein after.
You should have a meal within an hour after a workout. This could be balanced meal with carbs fats and proteins, but it should at least include carbs and protein, which could be dextrose or table sugar and whey protein powder. I have a 700 calorie post-workout meal consisting of whole milk, whey protein powder, dextrose, fudge and banana.
The BCAA powder is used by some people on a diet as source of energy that doses not spike insulin like carbs. You could take it before your workout, but I think if you did more research on it you would realize it's over priced and unnecessary.
Bcaa is found by researching animal muscles, i.e. later in labs is found that containing :
L-Valin-e - induces any muscles creations,
L-Leucin-e - prevents muscles loss similar as at space station, without activities = atrophy.
Whenever you want take, but is best on empty stomach so properly to be used by the cells without annihilation from other things. It can be easily blocked and vanished same as "water and iridium vanish aluminium".
Your body can't / is not able to absorb more than 10 grams protein per hour, so take whenever you wish.
be sure to take vitamins and ionic minerals, no matter what your diet is, but know that protein powder is not a full/complete protein like an egg ! keep taking it, but just wanted you to know......AND bcaa? wtf !
i would ask your doctor about it, he might know
