My dad doesn’t let me live my life?

My father since I was a kid was not let me live my life. He said the world is a bad place and life is hard. He always just forced me to hang out with him. As I grew older, bad things happened break ups, car accidents, lay offs, yet. I still don’t think life has been incredibly bad, I love going out with friends having fun going to the beach, going to socialize, yet every time i do my father gives me a dirty look when I see him. He is never happy for anything not my college education or my loving relationship not my friends. He always cries and gets anxious. What is his deal?
