im trying to google search it, the specific detail is i am trying to make a multiple line connection into a parabolic shape. with fixed length and bend

Per wikipedia , it is a
polygonal chain

which can also be called by the following names if you like

a polyline and a piecewise linear curve or
even a piecewise linear function are probably
more restrictive term than a polygonal chain.
