No, crushing the Christians is not a primary objective for the Chinese military if they want to take over Hong Kong. In fact, A number of atheists are actually supporters of the Anti-extradition bill protest, they don’t want the military to take over.

I believe in freedom, including freedom of religion.

If we look at history we see that religion, Christianity included, has never hesitated to use violence to forward it's own agenda.  To accuse atheism of being promoters of oppression and violence is to lie about your own past.
