Jesus was worshiped in Heaven since before the foundation of the world. He was worshiped by his followers after the incarnation. And he is eternally worshiped again in Heaven, not just by the 24 elders and the beasts. He's worshiped by ALL. "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain".

In Rev 5:12 it clarifies: "and they were saying with a loud voice: 'The Lamb who was slaughtered is worthy to receive the power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing'.”

The point is, it says Jesus was worthy to *receive* the power, wisdom, strength, etc. If Jesus was God, he would not be receiving wisdom and power because God is the source of wisdom and power.

If that doesn't convince you, then here is a quote from the Paul:

“God exalted [Jesus] to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every other name, so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground, and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father." (Phil 2:9-11)

Paul said that "God exalted Jesus" to a higher position and "gave him the name above every other name". If Jesus is God, he couldn't get a higher position and his name would already be the highest.

Christ was worshipped on earth, was worshipped when He was the God of the OT, will be worshipped by angels and all creation at His return and as above verse in question explains. Is worshipped in heaven. So He definitely is NOT an angel and He did NOT create Himself, He did create everything that ever was or is!

“It is written: ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.’” (Matt. 4:10; Deut. 6:13)

Paul explains that as the “heir of all things,” Jesus has “sat down on the right hand of the Majesty in lofty places.” (Hebrews 1:2-4) Thus, “in the name of Jesus every knee should bend of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground, and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.”—Philippians 2:10,11.

Outstandingly, Christ will soon use this exalted position and the extensive executive powers that go with it to transform this earth into a global paradise. Under God’s direction, and as a result of the ransom sacrifice of Jesus, he will rid the world of all sadness, pain, and sorrow for the benefit of those who submit to his righteous rule. Is he therefore not worthy of our honor, respect, and obedience?—Psalm 2:12; Isaiah 9:6; Luke 23:43; Revelation 21:3, 4.

Jesus certainly occupies a pivotal role in true worship, one worthy of honor and respect. (2 Corinthians 1:20, 21; 1 Timothy 2:5) He is the only way through which we are able to approach Jehovah God. (John 14:6) Accordingly, true Christians do well to direct their worship only to Jehovah God, the Almighty.

That's what it says. Careful though, when they hit you with a parable or a Lesson, or the meaning of our planet, and the future, it is with devotion and love, we listen.

That is right. He is not an angel.

Mhm. As far as I know only JWs believe he's an angel.

What? - what are you actually asking? Jesus is God that's why He was worshipped in heaven - because those in heaven KNOW Jesus is God, so they all fall down and worship Him, the Lamb upon His throne.

Hoppy, it is your interpretation of these verses that is wrong.

It doesn't as you want it to say:

"And the 24 elders worshiped the Lamb."

What it does say is:

(Revelation 5:14) “14 The four living creatures were saying: “Amen!” and the elders fell down and worshiped.”

In all the other times it talks about the 24 elders worshiping, it was always directed to the One sitting on the throne to God.

(Revelation 4:10) “10 the 24 elders fall down before the One seated on the throne and worship the One who lives forever and ever. . .”

In this instance they worship the One who lives forever. This can't be Jesus or the Lamb because the Lamb died.

(Revelation 7:11) “11 All the angels were standing around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell face down before the throne and worshiped God,”

(Revelation 11:16) “16 And the 24 elders who were seated before God on their thrones fell upon their faces and worshiped God,”

(Revelation 19:4) “4 And the 24 elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who sits on the throne and said: “Amen! Praise Jah!””

Here we are told they worshiped the God whose name is Jah, which is the shorten form of the name Jehovah or if you prefer, Yahweh.

This brings us back to Revelation chapter 5.

Why was the Lamb given honor and not worship?

Because the Lamb was slaughtered, Jesus died. Paul tells us God is immortal and thus cannot die. ( 1 Tim 1:17)

(Revelation 5:8-10) “8 When he took the scroll, the four living creatures and the 24 elders fell down before the Lamb, and each one had a harp and golden bowls that were full of incense. (The incense means the prayers of the holy ones.) 9 And they sing a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals, for you were slaughtered and with your blood you bought people for God out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, 10 and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, . . .”

Here the elders tell us the Lamb isn't their God because Jesus bought people for their God.

Instead of trying to insert our interpretation into a verse, one must actually read what the verse says and adjust our thinking to it.

side point.

bowing down to is NOT synonymous with worship

Because the Jews are said to bow down to true Christians.

(Revelation 3:9) “. . .look! I will make them come and bow before your feet and make them know that I have loved you.”

They are not worshiping Christians, but are given them the honor they deserve.

Yes, but where was he, when we fought at Helm's Deep? Where was he when Gandalf freed the world from Balrogs?

Revelation is the silliest book of the Bibles.
Even the Quran can't compete with it.
Total horseshit.

He was worshipped by the 7 dwarfs until the wicked witch tricked him into eating a poison apple.
