birds and bugs disappearing?

I live in Sydney Australia but I have not seen a sparrow in many years. I also have not seen Christmas beatles for many years.
Sort of depends where you live. I see a few sparrows and pigeons now and then, my spider bush has the usual hundreds, saw a couple cabbage white butterflies the other day, otherwise, almost no bug life at all here.
Haven't seen a toad/frog, lizard, or snake in years,,miss all the critters and crawlies, but almost spooky scary.
No bumblebees either, that makes me sad.
Not here, there are plenty all year long.
Best wishes
Not sure about the birds but the bugs have all gone to your mom’s ****
many species of birds are in decline, the numbers are difficult to come by...but for oldtimers who remember the chickadee (as one example of the missing in the USA), and not not that many years ago, the obvious losses are stunning...there is one important finding regarding much of this seen in attempts at piping plover recovery....and the predation ultimately making this impossible....a small falcon species, the merlin regularly preying on plovers and other shorebirds has made a dramatic comeback over the past scores of years......there are many others that will become scarce as feed for the predators as the plover becomes extinct....
billie eyelash is makin them depressed
