Plz confirm whether the meeting point and foot of the perpendicular of a line and plane are same?

If you are given a line and a plane, the meeting point is the intersection of those two. It's the point that is both on the line and the plane. In my diagram, it's the point in green.

Unless that line is perpendicular, the intersection is NOT the same as the foot of a perpendicular from a point to a plane. In my diagram, the foot of the perpendicular from point p is shown in purple.

Need more information or a photo but a perpendicular line usually meets another line at 90 degrees which is a right angle.

If the given line is perpendicular to the given plane, then the point where it meets the plane is the same as the "foot of the perpendicular". It would be helpful if you would post the exact sentences that are confusing you.
