Book recommendation?

I dont read that often,but when i do i like books like ''Heart of darkness''.By that i mean books that present a lot of ideas,but are also a nice read with a good adventure/story.I cant deal that much with books like ''12 rules for life'' because they are mostly just exploring the problem and nothing else.I hope you catch my drift

All of the above do present thought provoking ideas but don't use a sledge hammer to get the point across.
