What happened to the 10 Lost Tribes of ancient Israel, are there descendants from them alive today?

The 10 lost tribes migrated across many lands. Ephraim settled in UK, Manasseh eventually went to USA, Rueben is France, Israel consists of Judah, Levi, Benjamin and some of Simeon. Other places might be Netherlands. Most of the lost tribes have Blue, White and Red/ Orange in their flags that identify their origins as Israelites.

Well, according to the story, they were exiled, not exterminated. If that's true, it's almost certain that their ancestors exist today somewhere. MANY peoples around the world have claimed (or claimed by others) to be remnants of the lost tribes, from Ethiopia to the American Indians.

But from what I've read, modern scholars don't think the disappeared at all. They were just subsumed into the other two tribes. They were tribes that didn't have land, so they moved in with their cousins who did have land.

Yes you can easily find wikipedia articles about things like the Aaronite dna testing establishing a firm scientific basis for claims of people descended from the Tribe of Levi and, even more specifically, the priesthood of Aaron.

Yes, the Mormons think a group of them got into a canoe and came to North America. You can read all about it in the Book of Mormon. But be careful. As Mark Twain said, the Book of Mormon is chloroform in print, and it will put you sound asleep.

Unlike the two tribes of Judea, the ten tribes did not keep with their faith and eventually intermarried with others and lost their identity. The two tribes of Judea did keep their faith, stuck together even when not within their own land and managed to survive as a people.

Ethiopian Jews, also known as Beta Israel, claim descent from the Tribe of Dan, whose members migrated south along with members of the tribes of Gad, Asher, and Naphtali, into the Kingdom of Kush, now Ethiopia and Sudan, during the destruction of the First Temple. This position is supported by former Sephardic Chief Rabbi Ovadia Yosef. They are said to have fought with the natives.

Over the centuries following the Assyrian invasion they were scattered from Spain to Babylon and Ninevah. Considering both Babylon and Ninevah are long gone we'll use Baghdad as the point of reference.
