Why are the Captcha photographs of such piss-poor quality, and almost impossible to recognise ?

their photographer lacks a light meter and has no idea how to focus

Not only that, they ask for a bus but there is only a photo of a trick. Choose the truck and it will accept it as a bus??.

Yahoo used a poor Yahoo Image search of the photos. They didn't even bother to Google Image search or even Bing them.
