"入境"是處境性的，你問那個字是這意思便是"visit"。因為這問題是在"入境關口"的管制站由國家入境的官員/職員問入境的人仕，所以才會這樣翻譯。
假如同樣樣英文是在另一個場景/處境問，例如旅客參觀某博物館，入場或導賞的職員想增加交流的趣味，問問參觀者心裏為何會來參觀，說法亦是相同的，當然語氣便會跟入境的正規手續輕鬆多地說出來。因此翻譯亦不會說"你參觀的目的是甚麼"而何能是「你為何會來到這裏參觀」，visit便是"到來參觀"的意思。
