Causes of fatigue and weakness?
I’m 22 y/o female I’m 5’ 5 and 120 pounds. I have ongoing severe fatigue and weakness. I live a very fit and active life and it’s stopping me. I can barely do a 5 minute workout without feeling so weak my legs go away from me. I keep going back to the doctors but they keep sending me away they’ve done blood tests and nothing seems to be an issue!? What are some other causes that may be missed?? I’ve had vit b12 and other vitamins checked, I’m not anemic and it’s not gluten, also had thyroid checked. I’m not on any medication I’m eating more carlories than I burn as I’m trying to put on a little more healthy weight, I also stay hydrated and I take plenty of protein. It’s been ongoing for maybe a year and getting worse. I’m 22 and active yet can barely even get DOWN a flight of stairs without feeling weak! The doctors are useless so any suggestions would be helpful

Do you feel down or depressed ? Or have stress? That would be an option to explore. I would keep pushing further, there has to be a cause.
Myasthenia gravis
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
Lyme disease
Fibromyalgia
Allergic rhinitis
Sleep Apnea
Diabetes
Underactive Thyroid (Hypothyroidism)
Was your iron checked?
I hope they figure it out... My grandson had anemia several year and had to be life flighted to Children's hospital and almost died, it required a blood transfusion to save his life.
Sorry if I duplicated things already check for.
Best wishes
I would keep going back to the doctor. See a different doctor or just keep going back.
Have you seen a pulmonologist to see if there's an issue with your circulation? Had a chest x-ray to be certain there isn't some kind of mass or other issue with your lungs? You certainly aren't over weight; you're eating healthily and doing all the right things. I. have no idea what part of the country you're in; have you considered getting an appointment at the Mayo Clinic? Or Menninger Clinic?
Overtraining? If I or most people tried to workout 5+ days a week, we'd be saying the same things. "I barely got 2 sets of 3 off with 20lbs when I normally can do 135." You are just wearing out the muscle. It doesn't have the "juice" (nutrients) inside it to be able to perform the exercise, including regular walking.
Go lay down for a week. Don't lift weights and don't run around town if at all possible. The general recommendation is you take a week off once a month and one month off once a year. Otherwise you're actually breaking your body, not making it stronger.
might be thyroid problems or a vitamin deficiency.
