You may need an eTA.
On October 1, 2019, all travelers to New Zealand will require either a visa or eTA in order to enter New Zealand.
Because you enter before the eTA is implemented, you are initially exempted. However, if during your travel, you leave and return New Zealand, eTA may apply to you.
