Custody (撫養權) applies to children only, giving the person's authority to cohabit with the children in question. It does not mean the person having the custody will have the guardianship.

Guardianship applies to everyone, giving the person's authority to make decisions for the person subject to the guardianship. Cohabitation is allowed but not necessary.
