Was my friends YA account banned?

I just want to say that account suspension and account BANNING, is two different things.

You can sometimes win appeals and get your account BACK. (I've done it many times, because I am stalked a lot.- A LOT. )

Being BANNED.......mean you are a Grade A troll, and someone has made an airtight case against you......and you will NOT get that account back, with any amount of begging or pleading.

getting the "Sorry, Something has gone wrong" message, when you scroll over your avatar, usually means Suspended.

if you click on it, and it brings you to the Yahoo home page...............YUP , suspended. (Not banned---two different things)
and bannned people wouldn't even try, since they KNOW they are pests and were BANNED for good reason.

But banning only bans the one account........not the trolls 50 other sock puppets.-.....so technically, they come right back with the other 49 socks at their disposal.

I have lost 4 accounts similarly, without explanation. No opportunity to get any of them back. Seems that abusers thrive, others lose accounts for minor offences, or none at all.

YA accounts get suspended, but when that happens you can still login to your Yahoo account, use email and other features. You just can't post on YA.

It would be rare for your Yahoo account to have been disabled, unless you had committed some serious Terms of Service violation(s). YA accts get suspended all the time, but the entire Yahoo account isn't often disabled.

There is no way for us to give you an informed answer. If you can not change your password, the account is lost. As to being banned, that is not the usual indication.

That message does not Necessary mean your Account is Deleted that Message could just mean they may be having some Technical Problems at the Moment Hopefully Yahoo is working on Sorting it out and Hopefully Later on it will be Fixed I would give it some time and see what Happens your Account may come back up later on

If you are banned you get a message telling you your account is suspended.
