HP Laptop not charging consistantly?? PLEASE HELP?

I just notice my HP Notebook - 15-bs058ca is not charging constantly. It shows charging and after 2-3 minutes, it stops and the screen dims. Then, without touching anything, it picks up the connection again and starts charging for another few minutes before stopping. Consequently, it's stop-go-stop-go and I'm worried it's hurting the battery. I don't know whether it's the charger or the laptop battery. Is this common? is there a fix? How much would it cost to get repaired? I troubleshot the charger- holding it in different positions, changing the outlet etc. It still does it.

It could be either the charger, the battery, or the charge circuit. The cost of fixing depends on the problem.
If you can remove the battery and see if the the laptop powers up normally. If it does there is a good chance the battery is faulty
I would take it to a tech who should be able to fault find it for you
