keep a uniform of a company?

Once an employee leaves the company, he/she will not represent the company anymore. Since these corporate uniforms will be sponsored by the employer, they have all the rights to get it back the from the employee.

Besides, its safer to get back the uniform from the worker. For instance, if a person works for a gas agency then his uniform can be used in future for the purpose of entering into a home for robbery or other illegal activities. Thus, its better to take uniforms back from employee when he leaves from the company.

If Walmart made you buy the clothes, they do not belong to Walmart. My wife worked there over ten years. She was told what color pants and shirts to wear but Walmart didn't pay for them. If Walmart bought what you have, give it back.

You are no longer an employee and no longer a representative of that company. They don't want you misrepresenting their brand without oversight.

The real question is why would you wan to keep an old uniform from Walmart?

Are you planning on wearing it when you go out? - pretty cheesy

Planning to use it as a rag/ disposable shirt for dirty jobs like car repairs? - just go to the thrift store and buy a t shirt for 50 cents.

Wanting to keep it as petty revenge against the company? - grow up.

Just return the stupid shirt. you know its not yours to keep. why take the chance at them deducting from your paycheck or blacklisting you from future employment?

Return it. They may hold your check until you do.

Usually they might just charge you for it if you don't give it back but nothing else happens, ignore that other answer about it being a big serious issue. It's just policy in some places.

They reuse the uniform. if they want it back, give it back. If they'd rather not see you again, they won't care. It's not like a Walmart uniform costs a lot.
