There's often a large turnover in retail jobs. But 6 in a short period is not typical unless the grocery store is very big and located in a heavily populated metropolitan area. Stores with a great number of employees may experience several resignations and it won't be unusual. But, if the store is smaller and the six people leaving represent a large percentage of the total staff, their action indicates a problem - possibly with the management. It wouldn't be a surprise if poor leadership drove the 6 away at once.
