Is there a way to convert microsoft word document to PDF that keeps the image quality?

I have tried everything I can found, at first, selecting "general" instead of "minimum" when exporting will damage image quality. Secondly, I have tried "microsoft print to pdf", but it is in A4 and my size is 5.25'' x 8". I tried to add customized size and edit the documents and still not wording. I have even downloaded some PDF converters, but they still compromise quality.

I have tried everything basic. Save as and export

For reference, "microsoft print to pdf" does have much better quality, but the size is not right and I try to adjust it but there is only conventional size to switch or even add. I can't even add 5.25'' x 8" size even when I try to type in the code in the size document thing

The reason for this may be your save as or print to settings. Once the file is created as a PDF, it may now be 8.5 x 11 instead of A4. Thus, the images are stretched and distorted. Set the view on your page to 100% so that this is saved in the new file. Use the print to, and check for page size settings, change this to custom and see if it will then create the file as needed.

Yes, it might look "low quality" on your screen, but it prints out fine, as I have seen MANY times.

Word actually includes a PDF facility built-in!
Try a "save as" or "export to" in the FIle menu.
It keeps all the "intelligent" such as words for searching. Whereas many "print to pdf" apps convert it to a bitmap image so the quality suffers as well..

Adobe Acrobat distiller is the answer.
