Does anybody else feel like girls would make things worse when backing you up?
I feel like when I encountered bullies in my childhood and a girl steps in to back me up, I feel like she makes it worse. Because when guys are bullies usually they don't learn their lessons from being told off, they learn getting their as*es whooped. So just saying stuff such as "Just go!" or "Stop! You're hurting him!" or "You're such a jerk!" does no make things better. I feel firstly like I'm in an even more undignified situation, firstly getting picked on and then secondly seen as somebody who needs Supergirl's help because mommy's not around to protect me. I feel like despite girls when I was a kid having good intentions, I didn't ever value them stepping in from a practical standpoint. When my guy friends step in they would be way more confrontational and intimidating which would scare the bullies off, things are way more physical when my guy friends step in which is why I always wanted advice from guy friends on how to stand up for myself, I never liked advice from girls despite their good hearted intentions, I always felt like advice from guys were more advice on how to protect myself with dignity.
