Is it dangerous to live in Cape Horn, Chile?

Is there any permanent resident in Cape Horn, Chile, where it is considered to be the southernmost tip of the world with horrible weather sometimes?

There is a light house on Horn Island. High up above the water. So people do live there.

There is a lighthouse on the southern end of Isla Hornos and a residence of the lighthouse keeper. There is also a helicopter pad and a small chapel and a Cape Horn Monument. Isla Hornos is part of the Parque Nacional Cabo de Hornos so some national park staff live on the islands. There is also a weather station on Diego Ramirez islands, 68 miles south-west of Cape Horn.
