Why does it bother me that my ex is happy without me?

My ex I broke up over two years ago because she cheated. We work for this same company. In January she got transferred over to my department. We had few conversations from time to time but she is always going out with persons from the department but not really me. Some reason she is well loved. The guys hit on her a lot. The top guys buy her lunch and treats her. She talks to everyone except me only once in a while she would come to my desk and make conversations. Like it makes me feel like I was inadequate for her.

Maybe she just isn't feeling that attraction toward you that she needs to feel in order to date you? It's not personal. We aren't attracted to everyone in that way.

She cheated on you. Maybe she puts out, and that is what makes per popular. Who knows? We all would like to think that WE are the one person who can make someone else happy, but it sounds like she's the type for whom one person is not enough. I imagine it bothers you because, as you say, it makes you feel as though you were inadequate, when in fact any one man would in fact be inadequate.

This is the very reason that you should not date a person from work. You should just tell her to stay away from you. The only other solution is to find a different job. Then you won't be witnessing what she is doing.
