Hi from 16° about to rain York UK :-)

When i listen to the famous italian soap opera, Un Posto Al Sole i hear a work thet sounds like "Chow Eh?" is the word possibily "cioè". Is said alot, usually when someone is saying something then another says quickly "Chow Eh?", definately sounds like a question they are asking back to information they have just heard.

Any insights welcome :-)

the word is "cioè"
the literal translation is: and that is...; meaning...

Ciao. It has a meaning similar to Aloha in Hawaiian. That is, it can mean hello or goodbye.

Love York. Visited there to meet some Brit friends while I was staying in Edinburgh. The riverfront park is especially nice and there is a lovely tea house near-by.
