When I take a cold shower, its just to wake my body and mind up. I don't get my hair wet, and I don't use soap, I just rinse my body and get out after a minute or two.

Soap is drying but it does help get rid of odors.

Depends. If the shower is for showering, you use soap. If the cold water is just to get an adreneline rush then the soap does nothing.
