My younger sister is 14 and started smoking. She told me if i tell Mom, she'll beat me up. Think I should say something but afraid to get hurt. What do you suggest?

Say something, Talk to your mother about it.
One day she will thank you for it! Tell her
Your only friend is going to be an oxygen tank. Take a quick trip to a cancer ward in a hospital where patients have had to have holes cut in their trachea and cannot even talk normally. Sorry to be so blunt but if this can help stop one person from not smoking. That is great. I have not made any of this up. The s is just how it it. Good luck dear

Yes, and the fact that she threatened to physically harm you makes it even more important to tell. Most people who are addicted to smoking or have lung cancer from it started at a young age, just like your sister. Aside from smoking, it was completely unacceptable for her to threaten you like that, and you need to tell your mom immediately so she can stop your sister from actually trying to hurt you.

I strongly suggest that you tell your mom as soon as possible.

Smoking cigarettes? Well, I would say since she’s fourteen and still living under your mom’s roof that you should come clean and tell your mother. It is always better to be honest. If she was eighteen or older then it would be nobody’s business, but she is still a child and should be looked after as such. Don’t feel bad because you’re doing the right thing! Your sister will get over it eventually. Good luck!

Tell NOW. If you love her and care about her, go straight to your parents. Tell them what she threatened, and there can be ways to protect you. But she is obviously making a mistake right now, and the sooner it's caught, the sooner it is over.

tell your mom anyway
the trouble that she gets into just might save her life from lung cancer
