I wouldn't start doing telepathy with the missus, I tried it with mine and before long she was constantly berating me for what she called my inappropriate thoughts.
I never connected with other dimensions and thought myself lucky that I didn't abruptly connect with the punitive end of my wife's broom.

Telepathy is from the realm of fiction and imagination. So, no.

Don't worry about other dimensions. It's not at all likely you'll "start doing telepathy" as about maybe only 1 person in a hundred million is naturally telepathic. Telepathy is not something you can "just do." Natural telepaths have very low brainwave frequencies than ordinary humans. At the frequencies telepathy start operating at (4 and 6 Hz), most humans would be sound asleep. These are theta frequencies: neurologically, a human in a theta frequency may have his lights on, but not be home. If you are not a born telepath it would take you about thirty years of meditation before you could be functional while in a deep theta frequency--and even then that doesn't guarantee telepathy. Only 12 to 15% of the world's population has psi abilities' maybe 20% at most. That's roughly 840 million to about 1.4 billion-- and not that many of them are telepathic.

Take it from me, telepathy is highly over rated.
