I m planning to accept a job in another state. How do I go about moving?

You can ask on here about the neighborhoods in the city you're moving to. Then do a search online for apartments in those neighborhoods. Most apartment complexes now allow you to arrange a rental and place your deposit online. If possible, it's a good idea to visit and check out the possible apartments, but not absolutely necessary. Then, if you have a lot of stuff, arrange for a mover to move your belongings. If you haven't accepted the job yet, you can ask them about whether they pay moving expenses- some companies do. When you get there, you'll have to call places like the cable tv company to get things set up at your apartment. Then most states require you to get a state driver's license within 30 or 60 days of moving there.

On the internet, of course. You can narrow your search by looking for apartments that are friendly to your lifestyle, in a convenient area (considering your school, shopping, entertainment and leisure time). Then follow the guidance in the article referenced below.

Start calling apartments/places for rent but watch out for scams consider having a rental management company help with that (they do that work for a fee), get rid of unncessary stuff only take what you will truly need. I suggest calling the police department of the city you will be moving to and asking them about crime and the places they suggest you look for an apartment in.

You'll want to take a few trips to this place to scope out where in the city you want to live and to apply for an apartment. If you can't arrange accommodation before you get there you'll waste money on a more expensive short term rental while you try to find a leased property.
