Lactose free birth control?

Are there any birth control pills in the UK that don’t contain lactose? All the ones I’ve heard of seem to use lactose in the coating and I’m allergic to dairy. I’d rather take the pill that other birth control methods if I can.

Talk with your doctor and drug provider. I think you call them chemists instead of pharmacists.

An allergy to dairy has nothing to do with lactose. When you are allergic to dairy you are allergic to the proteins, not the sugar.

Most people who are allergic to dairy are about to handle medications that include a lactose filler without a problem. There are lactose free bc..

Talk to your doctor about your concerns and find the right option for you.

As Pippin said, lactose intolerance is completely unrelated to dairy allergy. Even if you were lactose intolerant, the amount of lactose used in tablets is so small, it wouldn't have any effect on your condition
